Immersive Art + Cross-Media Exploration
Gary Alake Riley:
Multidisciplinary Artist/Designer
My Creative Practice:
My work explores how branding, emerging technologies and consumer culture shape identity, aspiration and belonging, particularly among young adults. Through speculative worldbuilding and creative experimentation I develop immersive experiences, visual systems and new forms of digital and physical artwork.
Neon Billboard is an ongoing platform for this research, documenting the development of ideas, experiments and projects as my practice continues to evolve.
Industry to Immersive Art+
Working across moving image, immersive media and visual communication, my practice draws on experience in graphic design, art direction, film, television, animation, visual communication and fashion marketing education, digital production and branding.
City Limits, my original speculative story world, and Arcade Dub animated shorts series laid the foundations for my current exploration of branding, technology and youth culture.
Today, that work continues through Neon Billboard, where I explore these ideas through immersive art and creative experimentation.
Inside Neon Billboard:
Through speculative worldbuilding and creative experimentation, I explore branding, technology and consumer culture as interconnected forces shaping identity.
This website documents that ongoing process, sharing research, experiments and work in progress as my practice evolves.
